Eastern Queens 75 MM Howitzer dedicated on Veterans Day Nov. 11, 1943 by the Queens County Jewish War Veterans. The square honors two Queens World War ll heroes: Marine Corps Lt. Saul Stein, who died in the South Pacific, and Army Sgt. Harold Goldie, who was killed in the North African campaign.
